The P2P lending platform has seen its portfolio hit £322m, a 28.8% increase on the figure recorded in January 2017 (£250m).
Lendy’s platform offers investors the opportunity to make loans on a variety of projects, from commercial projects and office-to-residential conversions to brownfield sites and new builds.
With the P2P lender claiming that most of its loans have been oversubscribed in the first half of 2017, this demonstrates the continued interest and appetite for the available projects on the platform.
Highlights of some of Lendy’s major loan investments in 2017, include:
• £4.8m in loans for the purchase of a former quarry and cement works in the South Downs National Park
• £7m for the development of an eco-friendly leisure village in North Yorkshire
• £3.4m in loans for the refinancing of a castle and estate in north Wales
• £1.1m in loans for a development to convert a property into a private residence in Hertfordshire.
The number of investors has also increased from 12,600 to 16,500 in the last six months.
Lendy investors have been rewarded for their continued support by earning £25m in interest.

Lendy will be sponsoring this year’s Cowes Week
Paul Riddell, head of marketing and communications, (pictured above, right), said: “We’re growing fast, are passionate about what we do, have lots of great ideas and will be introducing changes to the model and our portfolio over coming months.
“Having added over £80m of new lending in the [first] six months of 2017, we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our loan book, and continuing to build on the £25m of interest we have so far returned to our lenders.
“Another major target for us in the second half of the year is to continue to improve our communications with our lenders.
“We’ve made pretty big strides already in the [first] half of the year, adding a number of new services for members of the platform.
“Expect further improvements throughout the rest of 2017.”
The peer-to-peer lending platform has also been named the title sponsor for Cowes Week.
Professionals from all over the finance sector have been invited to the famous sailing regatta based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Paul added: “…We’ve got a lot in the diary at the moment, with Lendy Cowes Week just a week away, where we will be entertaining guests every day.
“As the new title sponsor, we’re seeking to enhance the experience of both the crews and spectators who will descend upon the Isle of Wight this summer.”
